Street dogs = street love

What can I say, as soon as I left Germany they were just EVERYWHERE! Cairo was especially horrible, since they weren´t treated good there at all, but beaten and frightened away, because they were “aggressive” (big lie. They´re sweethearts if you don´t try hitting them -.-), which made them more aggressive, which brought them more hate. Vicious silly circle! I felt SO bad for them, because not even in the poorer parts of Germany have I ever seen such skinny, sick and scared dogs like in Cairo. It didn´t really get better when going to Sri Lanka, since the people don´t really care about the dogs without owners there as well – but at least they didn´t hit them, and sometimes even put their leftovers in the street for them. And then there was me. Petting every dog that ran up to me - which brought me a lot of judgements, but seriously: just wash your hands afterwards and you´ll be fine! And since I didn´t harm them they never harmed me, sooo… just shut it. Of course, just petting them wasn´t enough for me. Also always had to share my water with them, at first using my hands as a bowl, but that became kinda gross so I started always carrying the shell of a coconut with me, pouring the water in there ^^ Some people told me that “They are dogs they can find water themselves don´t waste your expensive one on them”. Seriously. Not everything has to be hard. Not even for dogs. And these 20ct extra really didn´t harm me! And theeen I met the love of my life in Mirissa (Sorry guys, dogs are the better people. They never want to hold hands, they aren´t always bullshitting about shit and they don´t cheat! Get over it, my heart is taken.) She was following me home from the beach, so I sat down in front of the hostel, playing with her for an hour or so. Had to go inside then and she tried going under the fence, making the most heart-warming sounds ever! Went out again, played with her, gave her some water. After I eventually left her, I heard her crying outside for more than an 2 hours, it broke my heart! Two days later, I saw her in front of the grocery store – just laying there, barely breathing, skinny af and looking as if she was about to die. Soooo I went inside and bought her yoghurt and water – I´ve never seen a dog happier than her after being fed and watered! Not even my dog is that excited when I come home after a long time lol. Since that little princess was really really REALLY skinny, I wanted to get her more food – but my friend was like “Wtf Toni, you can´t safe the world?” True. That´s not even my plan. But I can at least safe one dog´s day, right?! I don´t get it how people can think that selfish and careless about other creatures! They´re so poor and lovely and umm ☹ Anyway, might go back to Mirissa in a few weeks, so maybe I´m gonna see her again to get my honey some food 😊 To sum this up and get to a conclusion: I assume that most of you are in possession of a more or less functioning way, therefore not treating any animal like shit in the first place. To everone who´s doing it anyway: stop it, idiot! Getting satisfaction from treating other creatures like shit is possibly one of the worst traits anyone could have -.- And if I see you doing that, be prepared for a shitload of words about how much of a horrible person you are. Have done that before and will do it again!
