We went to Mirissa, expecting quite a party place, since that´s what everyone had told us before. It´s true, there´s sooo many beach bars, they´re covering almost the whole beach. But it was more of a restaurants area, and all the alcoholic beverages were only affordable during happy hour - and way too expensive at any other time lol.

Another problem we had was, that there barely were any cheap places to stay! The hostels were priced from about 8$ upwards (our budget was 5$ a night, sooo...), and it´s not even worth talking about the double rooms in hotels. 
We were walking around for about an hour, before we luckily found a nice couple that was willing to give us a special price! Luckily, we were three people at that time, otherwise we would have had to sleep at the beach! :D

As said before, the main beach was covered in bars and restaurants, so we went to look for a quieter spot. 

Ended up going to "Secret Beach", and even though that place isn´t as secret as its name would promise, it was way nicer than the main beach. 
It´s great for snorkeling, since there´s many stones and other things in the water, plus awesome for everyone who enjoys collecting shells as much as me :)
