National Museum

God damn it, I was excited before going there! I love museums! Reading stuff about past times and seeing old artefacts, knowing that real people held them in their real hands and ate their real soup out of it or wore it around their real necks!
And the atmosphere´s usually calm, quiet, peaceful. Perfect for reading a book (since I do that everywhere :D).
Not Cairo’s old National Museum! After paying the entry fee of 80 pounds, you can enter the huge building, that really does look nice from the outside. Aight, it’s also looking nice from the inside! The only problem is, that the whole place is more unorganized than my little brothers’ bedroom, and not even the world´s best detective would find shit there.
There´s no descriptions there, so u often don´t really know that you´re looking at. The artefacts are sorted in some way, it just takes a while to figure out how...

And if you´re asking me, there´s way too much of everything. The whole place just gave me a feeling of "Hey, that´s what we found somewhere, at some time and it´s important because of reasons. Enjoy."
Therefore, I felt kinda tired and exhausted by the museum after being there for a few hours, but still: some of the things displayed are really interesting, e.g. the hall with some mummified Pharaohs’ (Or queens. Or kings. Who knows. No descriptions.)

To sum it up, I hope the new museum they´re building is gonna be more organized and more of a museum/ less of a garage sale thing than the old one, because it would be hella interesting! It´s just really tiering to see the same stuff 500 times and always having to guess where it comes from and what on earth it is.
