For everyone who expects anything sweet and interesting when reading about a place called "Kandy" - I gotta disappoint you. It´s one of the least interesting cities I saw in Lanka, even though there´s some things to see there.
The city itself is quite dirty and very busy, which wouldn´t be too bad if there were any nice buildings or whatever to give kind of a "touch" to that place.

But there isn´t anything! 

The city is boring as hell, and my friend just wanted to go there because of the famous "White Buddha", which we ended up seeing during a Tuk-Tuk city tour. But you can read more about that tour in the separate blog :) 

The only special thing about Kandy was our hostel (yeeeah finally a good hostel?!). The place we stayed at was called "Kandy City Hostel" - super fancy, full of other backpackers, super friendly manager and the house itself was pretty cool with lots of space for sitting, chilling, smoking.
We stayed there for three nights (for some reason), but I´d skip it next time or go there for a maximum of one day - to head to Ella afterwards :)
